Busting the Good Asian Daughter Myth

I love my parents and I've also done many things that don't tick the good Asian daughter list, including:

* Not becoming an Actuary

* Creating a rich and unconventional career - working overseas, banking, NFP, dancing sabbaticals, and now, life coach and sacred circle holder

* Being a house owner, then not - to live more freely - wherever I wish

* Lived in sin 😈 with my ex-boyfriend - did not marry and no kids

* Dive deep into my personal growth - including spiritual, movement and sexuality embodiment work

It isn't a rosy path, and my less conventional decisions have been areas of discomfort, conflict and being mis-innerstood (the number of times I've been asked if I take my career seriously...!).

Yet, my body and heart are so much more at peace with my decisions - because I live in alignment with my soul callings.

Over time, as I show more of me and the impact of my decisions on my emotional, physical and mental wellbeing, as well as the impact I have on those I serve, the more my parents see me, and accept that I live a very unconventional life.

And this is ok. In fact, it is AMAZING.

Would you like to live a more soul-aligned life? Let’s chat.
