School was painful. I was bullied throughout primary and high school.

I didn't go with what other kids liked/did. I spoke up. I was a social justice warrior. I was one of the few Asian kids in school. I was unpopular.

At the age of 7, I would hide and eat my lunch between the fence and the bushes so I wouldn't be bullied. I went to 6 different primary schools to escape the bullying.

If I could gift one song to 7yo Jean, it would be this.

To the wonderful souls reading this:

You are safe

You are so needed in this world

You are loved
